Mo's musical references are enormous, going from the classical works and basic jazz to blues, funk & soul (at age 14 glued to her radio every Thursday night for the latest import in Ferry Maat's "Soul Show"), fusion, rock, rhythm & blues, metal, reggae, world, latin and some club house, lounge and techno (preferably the one of her nephew DJ Juan Sachez).

Most striking influences include the early Alan Parsons Projects, Beatles, Blood Sweat & Tears, Bonnie Raitt, Carmen McRae, Chaka Kahn (with Rufus), DD Bridgewater, Diane Schuur, Donald Fagen, EWF, Jennifer Weatherly, Fishbone, Herbie Hancock, Incognito, George Clinton, James Brown/Maceo Parker, Janis Joplin, Joyce "Mother's Finest" Kennedy, Keziah Jones, Led Zep, (the early) Level 42, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Living Colour, Marley, Me'shell Ndégéocello, Nat King Cole, Oleta Adams, Pearl Jam, Police, Rosa King, Salif Keita, Sandra St. Victor & Family Stand, Sarah Vaughan, Seal, Skunk Anansie, Steely Dan, Tuck & Patti, the early U2, Yes, Youssou N'dour and many, many more...

A new team of extraordinary musicians ensures the BLAZZ 2008 lineup, including Nicolas Wetzell (guitar), Guy Nikkels (guitar), Marc Polliand (guitar), Alejo Garcia Mendez (piano), Julio D'Santiago (percussion), Julien Gahwiler (bass) and Luca Solari (percussion/drums).
